- Pull your fishing line through the hook eye.
- Take the tag end of the fishing line and run it back through the eye.
- Now, one side of the line will be looped. Make a single, overhand knot using the looped and open ends of the fishing line.
- Before tightening the overhand knot the whole way, pull the looped section of fishing line over the hook and back up to the top.
- Pull the remaining end of the line to tighten the knot.
